  • BA (Hons) Arabic Language & Islamic Studies (1994) from the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
  • MA Arabic (1995) and MPhil (1999) from Dhaka University, achieving 1st class 1st in both.
  • PGCE (2008) from Goldsmiths, University of London and pursuing PhD in London.
     

Career:

  • Taught at Tamirul Millat Madrasah (1995–1999) holding position of a Tutor for CALF Programme, Open University, Bangladesh and Bangladesh Television.
  • Lecturer at International Islamic University, Chittagong (1999–2002) in Da’wah & Islamic Studies and Director of Arabic Language Institute of the University.
  • Vice Principal of Jamiatul Ummah, London (2002- 2004).
  • Principal of Jamiatul Ummah Secondary School and Sixth Form College from September 2004 and continuing.
     

Leadership:

  • From 16th April 2002,  serving as the Khatib of Darul Ummah Mosque, London giving multi-lingual (Arabic, English and Bengali) Khutba.
  • Executive Member of Da’watul Islam UK & Eire, a community organisation that is actively engaged in spreading the word of Islam to people. He is also the chairman of Global Aid Trust (GAT), a newly established charity organisation.
