Some key professional and administrative experiences:
I have been in the teaching profession for over a decade from primary to university levels. Moreover, I have always enjoyed developing new institutions; setting up the curriculum, schemes of work, extra-curricula activities, pastoral care etc. At Jamiatul Ummah School, I have taken lead of two departments and established 6th Form programme. I have developed the school assessment policy and conducted an INSET session on assessment in the school, in addition to presenting other professional issues within the school.
I am also playing a key role to set up partnership programmes between three 6th Form colleges in East London.
I administer the EMA services and UCAS services for all 6th form students in the current school.
During out of school time, I engage myself in charity work with Global Aid Trust (GAT) which primarily works for improving quality of education in developing countries. I love to read books, journals and to going out with my family and children. |
